My name is Mike Haxell and I have had a passion for making things from an early age. Being fortunate to have a the opportunity to start my passion for woodwork at school I went on to teach science and Design and Technology for a number of years.
I remain as passionate about the craft of woodworking, mostly making furniture and keepsake boxes, but also teaching some who are keen enough to want to learn through making a project with me.
Outside of woodworking I am also a life coach and a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council, helping individuals to achieve their goals in both work and personal contexts.
I live in Wickford, Essex and am fortunate to have my family around me, a dog at my heels and my workshop close by.
